NEW CONNECTION TECHNOLOGY FOR CHEMICAL PIPES
NANO LINK SYSTEM: A NEXT-GENERATION CONNECTION SYSTEM FOR CHEMICAL PIPES
Simplifying things can be extremely difficult. That’s the way it was with chemical pipes. The Nano Link System, popularly known as Nano Link, developed jointly by Yodogawa Hu-Tech and Fluid Engineering Laboratory is a connection system for chemical pipes that introduces a completely new design. That design consists of just three parts: a Seal Ring, a Nano Link Body, and a Clamp. It’s safe, small, and space-saving. And it’s the leading edge of a wave of innovation that will transform all pipe designs.

DEDICATED TO INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY THROUGHOUT INDUSTRY
Asking questions about things that are considered obvious: that’s where our research and development program began. In pipe design, the problem of joints has been a continual source of worry. Compared to gas pipes, where industry has seen a push toward integration and standardization, chemical pipes are widely considered to be 20 years behind. A willingness to embrace the challenges posed by a completely new and unprecedented connection technology was essential in order to bring fundamental change to the world of chemical pipes. At last we are able to introduce Nano Link, a product that gives shape to our commitment to bring technological innovation to chemical pipes.
Nano Link is the product of a joint development project undertaken by Yodogawa Hu-Tech and Fluid Engineering Laboratory. In addition to bearing responsibility for manufacturing and selling Nano Link, Yodogawa Hu-Tech will develop applied products such as fluorine resin tanks, PFA heat-exchangers, and PFA welded pipes. We look forward to helping boost productivity throughout industry.
ISSUES TO DATE WITH CHEMICAL PIPES
In addition to design issues such as large dimensions and time-consuming installation, the types of joint that have been widely used until now have been plagued by management problems, for example post-installation management and maintenance, degraded performance following removal and reconnection, numerous variants and models, and high management costs.
ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH JOINTS
- Large dimensions
- Numerous installation locations and work processes
- Time-consuming management associated with joint performance and installation
- Degraded performance following removal and reconnection
- Large number of tube and part models and variants
- Troublesome inventory management and lead time management
A new connection technology is needed to resolve these issues.
